Craps Tips
Craps as with most gambling games is a game of chance - it relies heavily on luck with each outcome having certain odds of occurring. Although it is basically a game of luck you will find a few tips below which you might wish to consider the next time you play the game.
- Do not be afraid to ask the dealer for assistance - no question is a dumb one!
- Prior to joining a game, familiarize yourself with the tables betting limits.
- As with most gambling - set a bankroll limit prior to beginning.
- When the shooter is throwing the dice, make sure all of your extremities (hands, arms, head etc) are away from the table.
- When throwing the dice, make sure you give them a good hard roll - do not attempt to slide or drop the dice.
- You will most likely need assistance to place some bets (those on the other side of the table.) Ask the dealer for help.
- If you win a bet, make sure you pick up your winnings - the dealers wont pick up your chips for you.
- When first starting out as a novice player you should consider betting on the 'Come', 'Don't Come', 'Pass' and 'Don't Pass'.
- Avoid making a habit of playing the long shot bets.
- Review game odds so you know which bets give you the best chance at winning.
- It is rude to cheer against the shooters outcome, but accepted to root for them.
