Yelling "Bingo!" at senior citizen bingo games could soon be a little more exciting.

The House of Representatives passed a bill Monday that would raise the prize at the games from $5 to $20.

Senior citizens' groups suggested the change, saying that it was hard to draw people to their games for such a pittance.

The bill does have some requirements. Participants in the games can't pay more than $1 to play, and organizers cannot receive any compensation for putting the games together.

The bill is expected to cost the state under $1,000, mostly so that the Division of Special Revenue can issue new permits.

The bill still needs approval in the Senate.
