Gambling.com has repositioned itself to become a 'Gambling-only search engine', filling a gap left after Yahoo and Google said they would withdraw from the online betting market.

The new tool represents the beginning of a total relaunch of the Gambling.com site, with an initial sole proposition of Pay Per Click (PPC) search - in a 'Google-style' interface.

The seven-year-old firm claims it already receives 'thousands of unique visitors per day' and through the PPC model, advertisers will be able to bid on keywords at a price that suits their individual budget.

Gambling.com also says it employs a strict editorial policy to deliver relevant results and cut down on marginally related, ad hoc information.

The search technology was developed in-house over the last six months after the site was purchased from the website's founder in a multi-million dollar deal at the end of December 2003.

Tim Rosenberg, spokesperson for Gambling.com, said: "Our new PPC engine is for anything gambling related, not just the traditional online casino listings. The Gambling.com vision is to become the primary destination for comprehensive and relevant search listing results encompassing all things gambling, from online casinos and sportsbooks, from Vegas hotels and poker chip manufacturers to land based casinos and industry watchdogs."

I think they need to work on their logo. Black with a red magic marker around it ? Laughing I guess they are trying to make people remember "gambling.com" but they could have come up with something more attractive imo...
