Actress and hotel heiress Paris Hilton will visit the hotel that bears the family name next month.

Hilton, half of the The Simple Life reality show duo, will be the star attraction at the Celebrity Beach Blackjack Invitational Tournament, which will be held noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Atlantic City Hilton. The event also will feature music, a live radio remote and other entertainment.

The tournament will be staged between 4 and 6 p.m. on six blackjack tables placed on a stage on the beach.

Eighty-four players - invited guests and celebrities - will compete, with 10 hands of blackjack. The top three winners in each of two sessions will advance to the championship round.

Unlike blackjack tables in the casino, the layout, the chips and the cards will not bear the name of the casino. Nor will participants be gambling - no money will be wagered.

Under casino regulations, gambling is permitted only in areas directly touching the casino floor. The beach doesn't qualify.

The Casino Control Commission this week approved a request from the Hilton to permit alcoholic beverage service beyond the beach bar for the day. The bars will sell beer only.
