Keno Rules
There are not a lot of complex rules associated with the game of Keno - it is more about learning how to play. The first thing to do is familiarize yourself with the casino you are playing at. Know the payout structures, know where the ticket booth is located, know where the bubble is at, where the monitors for viewing results are located etc. If you have ever played bingo at a local bingo hall, you will find that the game of keno is set up in a very similar manner.
One rule you will want to pay attention to, and it can vary by casino is the amount of time you have to claim your winnings after each game. In online games this is an automatic function, but in an land-based casino you will have to get up and go collect your winnings.
Once you are familiar with your surroundings, you will need to purchase a ticket and select your numbers. You can select as few as one number as in some cases as many as 20. Obviously the more numbers you select the greater the odds of winning, but the size of your win also goes up. In addition to selecting your numbers you will select how much you wish to wager. You will also want to select how many games / races you wish to play in.
Understanding how the bets work in Keno is usually the most demanding part of learning the game. There are various keno bets; these include straight bets and way bets, the most common bets. There are also additional bets, which allow players the choice of choosing the size of bet.
Straight bets permit players to select single keno numbers on which to wager. Way bets are bets in which players bet on groups of numbers. The split bet is also a favorite of many Keno players. With this bet you can mark multiple groups of numbers.
